Week 13: The Tribe Has Spoken

I started watching Survivor! My husband has been a huge fan of Survivor for a long time. Growing up, he watched it with his dad and brother. So when we found a season that he hadn't seen yet, we started watching it together! And I really like it! Another reason why we decided to watch this season (season 29) is because they are in Nicaragua, which is where I served my mission!

I'm surprised at how much I like this show because I'm not a huge fan of reality TV as a genre of media because I don't really enjoy voluntarily watching drama. However, this show is so fascinating to me! I would not consider myself very strategic, which is one reason why I am so interested in this show- so much strategy is involved. I also love watching the contestants do all of the reward and immunity challenges. They are so creative when it comes to coming up with challenge ideas and the pressure adds to the excitement.

It's been a lot of fun for my husband and I to talk about the show and everything that happens. I see, now, why people like reality TV- it can connect people! My sister and her husband also love Survivor so its been fun to talk to them about it too.

I totally understand why this show has been airing for 40 seasons!

  1. Holy cow, 40 seasons! I'm in the same boat as you - I normally don't like reality TV, but this actually sounds like a cool show! Especially since they were in a cool central American place :) Maybe I should try watching it :) Thanks for sharing!
